SENIOR Minister Goh Chok Tong yesterday opened the new marina at Keppel Bay and welcomed the fleet of 10 clippers, which are racing around the world.
Beside him are Sir Robin Knox-Johnston (left), founder of Clipper Ventures, and Mr Lim Chee Onn, executive chairman of Keppel Corporation.
Keppel Corp is the main sponsor of Uniquely Singapore Clipper, which is also taking part in the race. Singapore is the fifth stop in the 10-month long race, which covers four continents and 14 cities. From Singapore, the fleet will sail to China.
