LETTING GO: Mr Koh suffered abrasions on his knees and arms.

THE suspected driver of a car, which drove off on Thursday afternoon with a man clinging desperately to the bonnet for more than 200m, was arrested yesterday afternoon.
During Mr B.T. Koh's two minutes of terror, from Tembeling Road to Still Road, the driver had tried to shake him off by swerving about.
Mr Koh, 36, eventually had to release his hold and he rolled onto the middle lane of Still Road. He escaped with only abrasions.
Mr Koh told The New Paper that his own car was parked along Tembeling Road, near Joo Chiat, on Thursday afternoon. He was walking back towards it when he noticed another man who looked like he had just scratched Mr Koh's car with a key.
Mr Koh then approached the man, who had already got into his own car.
But instead of coming out of the car, the driver suddenly moved the car forward.
Mr Koh, caught by surprise, fell onto the bonnet and held onto it as the car continued to move.
The car moved about 15m before reaching East Coast Road, while Mr Koh still clung on the bonnet.
He shouted to the driver to stop but it was likely that his voice could not be heard as the windows were wound up.
The car brushed against a motorcycle about 200m after turning into East Coast Road.
It was there that Mr Koh felt that he did not have any more strength to hold onto the bonnet. He slipped off the moving car.
The driver of the car then sped off.
Mr Koh was taken to Changi General Hospital by an ambulance where he received treatment for abrasions on his knees and arms.
He said a passer-by gave him the licence plate number of the car.
The police arrested the suspected driver after a 24-hour search.
