When a massive security force is needed

THE biggest events that require a police presence, such as the 2006 International Monetary Fund and World Bank meetings, can trigger a deployment of up to 10,000 officers.

For the Asean Ministerial Meeting earlier this month, nearly 2,000 police officers were deployed.
