Michael Phelps, Dara Torres and the rest of the United States swimming team strolled out of Changi Airport largely unnoticed late last night.

But not before Phelps grabbed some supper at McDonald's - an upsized Big Mac meal with Sprite, paid with a Visa.

The 23-year-old is gunning for a record eight gold medals at a single Olympics.

Asked if he was feeling confident ahead of the Beijing Games, Phelps simply said: 'I hope so.'
