
He taught for seven years at SJI, then took over as principal of St Patrick's from 1967 to 1972.
He returned to SJI as its principal from 1974 to 1978, then served as its deputy principal from 1987 to 1991. Under his leadership, SJI became one of the first schools to go independent in the late 1980s.
From 1979 to 1987, he was principal of CJC.
