A display at a booth belonging to water treatment firm Salcon frames trade delegates at the Singapore International Water Week 2008.
The event will be opened officially today at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. It will run until Friday.
The International Water Week 2008 brings together policymakers, industry leaders and experts from around the world.
Among the topics to be discussed at events such as the Water Leaders Summit and the Water Convention are the challenges of delivering water to communities, water conservation, the sustainable use of water in urban environments, infrastructure financing and the latest technologies in water treatment.
