Singapore national coach Raddy Avramovic has highlighted areas that need work on for them to be among Asia's best:
Players' technical ability. Basics like ball control, keeping possession and running into space are not up to standard when compared to top opposition like Uzbekistan.
Fast movement and quick passing, the hallmarks of modern football, are missing.
Transition from attack to defence is slow. Avramovic would not specify any names, but central defender Precious Emuejeraye, for instance, is clearly too slow for international football.
Mental strength. No leader, in the absence of the retired Aide Iskandar, to fire up the team when the chips were down.
No one who can dictate the tempo of the game. Singapore managed to do this against Saudi Arabia, but only for the first 20 minutes.
