REPORTS emanating from Spain indicate that Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to join Real Madrid on a five-year deal.

He has also refused to meet Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson at Portugal's Euro 2008 training base in Switzerland.

Ferguson was willing to cut short his holiday in France to attempt to convince his star to stay at Old Trafford, reported the Daily Mail.

But Ronaldo reportedly told his teammates that the Scot is not welcome.
