HERE'S a look at some of the protests against fuel price hikes in Europe this week.
BRITAIN: Truckers converged on London in a convoy on Tuesday, closing a busy main road and causing traffic backlogs.
Similar protests took place in Wales.
BULGARIA: Hundreds of truckers launched protests in the capital Sofia, the Black Sea port city of Varna and the Danube port city of Russe yesterday, demanding lower excise duties on fuels as well as measures to stop the rise in fuel prices.
Bulgarian bus companies were preparing to launch a nationwide one-hour strike on Friday.
FRANCE: Fishermen called off strikes in key ports yesterday, lifting a week-long blockade of France's largest oil refinery.
But farmers and a major truckers group have gone on strike, setting up roadblocks in Toulouse and Bordeaux.
ITALY: Italian fishermen in the Adriatic are expected to strike from tomorrow.
NETHERLANDS: Dutch truckers are planning a national day of action today to protest against rising diesel prices.
SPAIN: Spain's Fishermen's Confederation has called for a protest in Madrid tomorrow and the main truckers' association has called a strike for June 8 to demand measures to cope with the high prices.
Farmers in Catalonia are also considering protests.
