Kerosene: From 2,000 rupiah to 2,500 rupiah a litre.

Help for the poor

Jakarta is distributing cash handouts to soften the blow of the fuel price increase:

Every low-income family will be given 100,000 rupiah.

Cash handouts will be given to 19.1 million families.

Compensation funds will cost the government more than US$1.5 billion (S$2 billion).
