A Japanese medical team of 23 doctors, nurses and other experts has also arrived to help earthquake victims.
'Let us work as a team so that we can save as many people as we can,' team leader Kazuhiro Tajiri said before the team left Japan.
An Italian team is also on the way, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
