Background Story

Have an attendant on board if the bus carries more than 30 children;

Have an attendant, regardless of the number on board, if the children are in kindergartens or child-care centres;

Not travel beyond 60kmh;

Undergo compulsory and periodic inspections to ensure they are roadworthy;

Install automatic hazard lights that blink when the bus stops to pick children up or drop them off; and

Be fitted with a reflective triangular 'Children Crossing' sign with red blinking lights at the rear of the bus.
