THE Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI) has written to the Chinese Ambassador to Singapore, Madam Zhang Xiaokang, to express its full support for the Beijing Olympics, the group said yesterday.

In its letter, the SCCCI also 'noted with great concern the few uncalled-for disruptions to the torch relay during its global journey thus far'.

It added that 'any aspersions or acts aimed at impeding the smooth passage of the Olympic flame are indeed deplorable'.
