IN AN attempt to show the Western media is inclined to skew its reports on the recent Tibetan unrest, the Chinese media has cited examples to expose such 'deliberate mistakes'.
Some of the media culprits highlighted by the country's top television station CCTV and major English newspaper China Daily are:
German news television N-TV: Footage on riots by Tibetan refugees in Nepal was said to be of those in Tibet.
German television RTL: Nepalese security forces cracking down on Tibetan protesters were identified as Chinese police.
CNN: Replaced picture uploaded by Chinese netizens in its website that showed mobsters throwing stones at a military truck, with one showing people fleeing from the truck.
BBC: Caption for a website picture said 'there is a heavy military presence in Lhasa' while it showed Chinese police helping medical staff carry a wounded person into an ambulance.
German newspaper Berliner Morgenpost: Caption for a website picture said an 'insurrectionist was being taken away by police' when the photo actually showed police in Lhasa rescuing a Han Chinese assaulted by rioters.
Fox TV: Caption for a website picture said Chinese military officers were dragging some protesters onto a vehicle when actually the uniformed people were Indian police officers.
