THE Sunday Times lists 51 athletes who have had their Singapore citizenship application fast-tracked under the Foreign Sports Talent (FST) scheme.
According to recent figures mentioned in Parliament, 54 athletes have been granted citizenship, with 37 of them still actively training.
The Singapore Sports Council declined to give the names of the FST athletes or the breakdown from each sport.

SOME OF THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS
Table tennis players Jing Junhong and Li Jiawei reached the semi-finals at the last two Olympic Games, Singapore's best performance since Tan Howe Liang's 1960 weightlifting silver.
The table tennis team won 30 medals at the SEA Games (2003, '05 and '07), five medals at the Asiad ('02 and '06) and 22 medals at the Commonwealth Games ('02 and '06). Last week, the women were runners-up to China at the World Team Championships.
Foreign talents contributed to the Republic's best showing at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and the 2006 Asian Games, and the best away tally at the 2007 South-east Asia Games.
They helped the soccer team reach the third round of the World Cup Asian Zone qualifiers for the first time.
