NICK Faldo is predicting history will be made this year by Tiger Woods' winning the Grand Slam of all four Majors.
Asked to comment on a previous statement that this could be the clean sweep season for the world No 1, the British six-time Major winner said, 'Let's take away the 'could','' reported the BBC.
Woods has been nearly unstoppable in his last six appearances:
And the world No 1's statistics at previous Majors make ominous reading:
The Masters is, of course, at Augusta National, where Woods has already picked up four Green Jackets.
This has been his most elusive Major - he has won it only twice. But this year, the US Open is right back at Torrey Pines, where he claimed his latest Buick Invitational in swashbuckling fashion on Sunday.
He has won two of the last three British Opens. This year, the Major goes back to Royal Birkdale. The last time it was held there in 1998, Woods missed a play-off by one shot.
Since then, he has won 12 Majors.
Woods has won the last two PGA Championships. This year's edition is at the Oakland Hills Country Club, outside Detroit. His only professional appearance there was in a Ryder Cup loss.
But, if he has won the three Majors of the year, you can be sure he will spare no effort to become the first man to sweep all four in a year.
