THE Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) has asked the public to guard against fires during the festive season.

The SCDF also urged managers of public buildings, and entertainment and recreation spots to comply with all fire safety rules.

The SCDF said its enforcement teams will step up inspections at commercial buildings.
