One of them is that dogs are to be transported through the condo's common areas in customised 'dog trolley-cages', which are about the size of carry-on bags on planes.
Residents with dogs larger than would fit into cages of that size may appeal to the MC to keep them. If the appeal is successful, these larger dogs must also be transported in 'trolley-cages''.
Another by-law proposes that dogs be licensed by the MC - at $30 a month for small dogs and $50 for large ones.
MC chairman David Tan explained that the condo had been facing dog-related problems for the past decade - like dog faeces and urine in the lifts and people using the changing rooms to bathe their pets, so the proposed by-laws are meant to alleviate these problems.
Dr Tan, who does not own any pet, said: 'It occurred to me that if we can have birds in a cage, why can't we have dogs in a cage and have them wheeled through the common property?'
A resident, who declined to be named, said: 'I didn't choose to live in a condo to be restricted by all this.
'With all these rules, I feel like a prisoner in my own home.'
