Wilmar's Q4 profit up by 57%, hits $627 million
Wilmar reports that fourth quarter profits grew 57 per cent to US$500 million (S$627 million), while revenues rose 26.7 per cent to US$11.52 billion. For the quarter, earnings per share rose from 4.9 US cents to 7.7 US cents, while net asset per share was up 24 US cents to US$2.09.
The company is declaring a final dividend of 3.1 cents per share, bringing total dividend payout for the year under review to 6.1 cents per share.
For its full year, net profit rose 20.9 per cent to US$1.6 billion, while revenues were up 47.2 per cent to US$44.71 billion.
At the analysts briefing on Wednesday, chairman and chief executive Kuok Khoon Hong also disclosed plans to list the China operations eventually. However, no time frame was spelt out.
