SMRT CEO apologises for 5-hour MRT train breakdown
SMRT chief executive Saw Phaik Hwa apologised to commuters affected by Thursday's five-hour long disruption on the North South Line.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference on Friday afternoon, Ms Saw said: 'We are very sorry that this happened.'
She promised that SMRT would spare no effort to prevent a recurrence of Thursday's incident.
She also said it was very important that SMRT improve its incident management plans and crowd management.
