Circle Line breakdown delays morning commuters
A breakdown on a section of the Circle line delayed about 1,400 passengers heading to work between Marymount and One-north stations.
SMRT said the breakdown started at 6am and was due to a communication network problem. Engineers partially restored train service at the affected stretch by 6.40am.
SMRT explained in a statement issued on Wednesday that as the fault was not fully corrected, frequency of trains during morning peak hours was longer than usual. Trains arrived at least five minutes apart.

SMRT added that it deployed 35 buses for bus bridging services to ferry passengers between stations.
