First morning after pill introduced here in 10 years
Women can now turn to a new 'morning after' pill to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex.
This new pill, called ella, is said to work up to five days after unprotected sex, up from the three-day period that current 'morning after' pills offer.
It is the first such pill in nearly a decade to be cleared for use by the Health Sciences Authority here.
The drug regulatory body approved the pill in June, making Singapore the first country in South-east Asia to do so.
