NEA issues heavy rain alert, PUB warns flash floods may occur
The National Environment Agency issued a heavy rain warning on Thursday.
Heavy thundery showers with gusty wind are expected over many areas of Singapore between 12.50pm and 2.30pm.
Flash floods may occur in low-lying areas in the event of heavy rain, the Public Utilities Board warned. The PUB also advised the public to exercise caution and look out for flash floods.
Islandwide heavy rain between noon and 2pm on Friday caused flash floods to hit several areas, including Little India, Bishan and Ang Mo Kio.
