The Ministry of Education (MOE) will be including nutrition, mental strength, values and more Sports Science related topics into its Junior Sports Academy (JSA) training in the coming years.

Mr Hawazi Daipi, Senior Parliamentary Secretary (Education and Manpower) was speaking at the third MOE-JSA graduation ceremony, held at Hwa Chong Institution on Sept 5.

He handed out certificates of participation to 321 talented young athletes, who went through the two-year MOE-JSA programme that was launched in 2008.

The JSAs were established to provide young athletes with an opportunity to be mentored by quality coaches at centralised locations, usually schools.
