WHILE he blindly stabbed his girlfriend, repeatedly, she uttered her final words to him: 'I love you'.
Moments later, she lay dead in a pool of blood.
Taking the stand in the High Court yesterday, Pathip Selvan Sugumaran, 23, shed light into the series of events culminating in the death of his teenage girlfriend.
He said that he was infuriated after catching his girlfriend, Miss Jeevitha Panippan, 18, with another man earlier on July 7 last year. Later in the evening, as the couple walked towards a nearby park along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5, Pathip told Miss Jeevitha that he wanted to talk to her.
She replied that that was why they were going to the park in the first place. Ignoring her, he pulled her into some bushes next to an electrical substation in front of Block 154.
He said: 'At first I pulled her by her hand and then she continued walking with me. Initially she refused.'
