JAKARTA - A MODERATE earthquake struck off Indonesia on Thursday, but there were no immediate reports of damage and no tsunami warning.
The US Geological Survey said a 5.6-magnitude quake struck at 6.37am (2137 GMT, 5.37am Singapore time), at a depth of 76km and was centred 199km west-north-west of Saumlaki.
Indonesia sits on the Pacific 'Ring of Fire,' where the meeting of continental plates causes high volcanic and seismic activity.
