TEHRAN - IRANIAN President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed on Tuesday to make changes to his team and 'respect' young people when his new government takes office after his disputed re-election.

 
Dozens arrested at G8 protests

ROME - ITALIAN police made around 40 arrests on Tuesday as protests against the upcoming G8 summit saw demonstrators hurl bottles and set fire to tyres on the streets of Rome, officials and witnesses said.

Praises democracy

MOSCOW - PRESIDENT Barack Obama appealed to the Russian people on Tuesday to join the United States in overcoming past differences and building a prosperous democratic future free of corruption and the threat of nuclear war.

Broadening his message of a 'reset' in relations between the two former Cold War superpowers on the second day of a visit to Moscow, Mr Obama said citizens, business people and companies all had a part to play in improving ties and boosting trade.

London bombings memorial

LONDON - BRITAIN'S Prince Charles joined victims' families in London's Hyde Park Tuesday for the unveiling of a memorial to the 52 victims of the city's 2005 suicide bombings.
