RIYADH - SAUDI cardiologist Osama al-Amoudi praised President Barack Obama on Wednesday as he began his Mideast tour in the kingdom, saying he believes the new president has made a good first impression and appreciates his overtures to Muslims.

OSLO - THE world's richest man Bill Gates on Wednesday urged fellow billionaires to give away most of their wealth, saying sharing brought far more joy than passing on money to descendants.

US H1N1 flu deaths up to 20

WASHINGTON - US health officials have confirmed 20 deaths from the new strain of H1N1 flu, with more than 11,000 confirmed or probable cases.

Three US deaths were reported on Wednesday - two in New York and one in Connecticut.

New debris found

FERNANDO DE NORONHA (Brazil)- SEARCH crews flying over the Atlantic found debris from a crashed Air France jet spread over more than 90 km of ocean on Wednesday, reinforcing the possibility it broke up in the air.
