MADRID - SPAIN'S defense and health ministries say seven new cases of swine flu have been detected at a military academy outside Madrid.

The new cases bring the total at the academy to 18.

The health ministry says on its Web site on Sunday that none of those affected has needed hospital treatment.

 
17 tourists arrested over stunt

HANIA (Greece) - SEVENTEEN British tourists were arrested on the island of Crete Sunday for insulting the Catholic church after they paraded themselves dressed 'in nun attire and naughty lingerie", police said.

The Britons were arrested in the coastal town of Malia, a popular resort for young travellers with a long tradition of drunken tourist antics.

UK to review combat ban

LONDON - BRITAIN'S military says it is considering lifting rules that ban female soldiers from taking part in face-to-face combat with enemy forces.

30 wounded by gunfire

VIENNA - ABOUT 30 people were wounded, nine of them seriously, as rival factions in the Sikh community clashed inside a Sikh temple in the Austrian capital Vienna, police and emergency services said on Sunday.
