MEXICO CITY - MEXICO City officials said on Monday another seven people were believed to have died from swine flu, as they discussed further measures to cut activity in the capital to stop its spread.

 
Tamil attacks in London

LONDON - SIX PEOPLE were arrested Monday after Tamil protesters smashed windows at India's High Commission in London and caused damage outside Sri Lanka's diplomatic mission, Scotland Yard said.

Some 200 people gathered outside each of the two countries' missions to demonstrate against the ongoing violence in Sri Lanka, where Tamil Tigers are vowing to make a final stand against government forces.

GSK to boost flu drug output

LONDON - BRITISH pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline said on Monday it was 'urgently' investigating how to boost production of its antiviral drug Relenza in response to the international swine flu outbreak.

Cause for concern, not alarm

WASHINGTON - US PRESIDENT Barack Obama on Monday urged Americans to remain calm in the face of a widening outbreak of swine flu, saying that the illness is a 'cause for concern' but not alarm.

In remarks delivered at a gathering of the National Academy of Sciences, the US leader said that the ailment, which has killed more than 100 people in Mexico, 'requires a heightened state of alert. But it is not a cause for alarm.'
