BEIJING - CHINA and the United States have agreed to resume high-level military exchanges, a US defence official said on Saturday, as he described two days of talks between the two powers as extremely positive.

'We agreed we are going to be having high-level exchanges very soon,' US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence David Sedney told reporters.
