LIMA - RESEARCHERS at an archeological site in northern Peru have made an unusually large discovery of nearly three dozen people sacrificed some 600 years ago by the Incan civilisation.

 
E3 bodes well for game lovers

LOS ANGELES - VIDEOGAME makers at E3 this week shrugged off the dismal economy, debuting supercharged sequels to blockbuster titles and play that is increasingly social and active.

'All three publishers showed strong,' said Scott Steinberg of videogame and gadget website Digital Trends, referring to Electronic Entertainment Expo line-ups touted by competing console makers Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony.

The celebration might be cut short, though, if the wireless carrier can't keep up with the high demand it expects for the device.

Vatican delegation in Cern

GENEVA - A SENIOR Vatican delegation visited the world's biggest nuclear physics laboratory, proclaiming that true faith has no problems with science.

The Roman Catholic Church was represented by Cardinal Giovanni Lajolo, Vatican City's governor, as it toured the Cern facility and its 27km proton accelerator this week.
