WASHINGTON - THE United States State Department is attempting to improve its image in the Middle East with the creation of a cell phone game called X-Life.

Costing about US$415,000, the game aims to help people improve their English and learn about the US.

 
Eco-boat made of bottles

SAN FRANCISCO (California) - DAVID de Rothschild hopes to build a boat from thousands of empty plastic bottles and sail from California to Australia to highlight global waste.

The 60-foot catamaran will be made entirely of recycled plastic except for the metal masts said Mr De Rothschild.

Search engines urged not to censor

UNITED STATES - RIGHTS groups have called on Google, Yahoo and Microsoft not to censor their search engines for one day this week to help protest cyber censorship said reports on Monday.

The World Day Against Cyber Censorship, on March 12th, is a protest against state filtering of the web. It comes as the Australian Government is finalising its live trials for a much-debated internet filter.

Fish diet heightens IQ
