SAN FRANCISCO - APPLE on Tuesday said every song in its iTunes library will be available without anti-piracy software by April.

The announcement came at a Macworld Expo keynote presentation at which Apple marketing vice-president Phil Schiller unveiled a new top-end MacBook Pro model and snazzy upgrades to Macintosh computer software.

 
Sunlight helps kids' vision

SYDNEY - SPENDING a couple of hours outdoors each day could help children avoid becoming short-sighted, Australian researchers said on Tuesday.

Exposure to bright light for two to three hours daily helps regulate the eye's growth, dramatically reducing the risk of myopia, an Australian Research Council study found.

Less sex on MySpace

CHICAGO - MANY teenagers cleaned up their MySpace profiles, deleting mentions of sex and booze and boosting privacy settings, if they got a single cautionary e-mail from a person named 'Dr Meg.'

The e-mail was sent by Dr Megan Moreno, lead researcher of a study of lower-income kids that she says shows how parents and other adults can encourage safer Internet use.

Pink iguanas on Galapagos

QUITO - A TEAM of Ecuadoran and Italian researchers have discovered a unique species of pink land iguanas living on the Galapagos Islands, the scientist who wrote the report told AFP.

'It is surprising to have found in the 21st century a find of this magnitude,' said Washington Tapia, head of research at the Galapagos National Park.
