BLOGGERS across Mumbai fed live updates of the action after Islamist gunmen launched waves of attacks in the heart of India's financial capital, highlighting the emergence of citizen journalism in news coverage.

Some, including a blogger named Vinu, were furiously uploading photos of damage from the attacks that killed at least 101 people and injured 287, with scores of foreigners, including Westerners trapped in luxury hotels.

LOS ANGELES - A FEDERAL jury delivered a mixed verdict on Wednesday convicting a Missouri mother of misdemeanour charges in a nationally watched cyber-bullying case in which the woman was accused of using a fake MySpace account to torment a teenage girl who later committed suicide.

The jurors rejected more serious felony charges against Lori Drew, 49, who was involved in a hoax on 13-year-old Megan Meier. The panel deadlocked on a conspiracy count.

Wii sales top 7m in Japan

TOKYO - SALES of Nintendo's Wii have topped seven million in Japan since its launch nearly two years ago, as the family-friendly game console continues to grow in popularity, a survey showed on Wednesday.

Nintendo had sold 7,024,239 units as of November 23 since the launch on December 2, 2006, according to magazine publisher Enterbrain.
