LONDON - ANDY Roddick survived a Wimbledon epic to reach the semi-finals with a dramatic 6-3, 6-7 (10/12), 7-6 (7/1), 4-6, 6-4 victory over Lleyton Hewitt on Wednesday.

New 100m swim world record

PESCARA (Italy) - SPANISH swimmer Aschwin Wildeboer Faber broke the men's 100 metres backstroke world record here at the Mediterranean Games on Wednesday timing 52.38 seconds on the first leg of the 4x100m medley relay.

Murray into Wimbledon semis
