LONDON - MOTOR racing chief Max Mosley claims he is under pressure to stay on as head of Formula One's governing body after opponents rushed to write his obituary following a peace deal last week.

'They made the mistake of dancing on my grave before I was buried,' the 69-year-old Briton told the Mail on Sunday newspaper in an interview.

 
Bolt wins 100m title

KINGSTON (Jamaica) - BEIJING Olympic double sprint champion Usain Bolt won the 100 meters at the Jamaican Athletics Championships on Saturday in 9.86 seconds, the fastest wind-legal time in the world the year.

Bolt, running into a 0.2m/sec headwind and racing in lane four next to rival Asafa Powell, eased down with a finger across his lips at the finish as he booked a berth in the World Championships in August at Berlin.

Andy Murray on course

LONDON - ANDY Murray cruised into the Wimbledon last 16 on Saturday while veterans Andy Roddick, Lleyton Hewitt and Tommy Haas led the charge of the old boys club.

Murray, bidding to end Britain's agonising 73-year wait for a home men's champion brushed past Serbia's Viktor Troicki 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 and will now face Switzerland's Stanilas Wawrinka for a place in the quarter-finals.

Rossi wins Dutch Moto GP

ASSEN (Netherlands) - YAMAHA rider Valentino Rossi won his 100th career Moto GP race at the Assen TT on Saturday, claiming victory in 42 minutes 14.611 seconds.
