BUENOS AIRES - BERNIE Ecclestone, Formula One's commercial rights holder, is in talks with Argentine government officials to bring the sport back to the South American country.

The last Formula One race in Argentina was 1998, an event won by Michael Schumacher.

 
'Stop moaning': Brown to rivals

ENGLAND - HULL manager Phil Brown has told his side's relegation rivals they will have no right to complain if Manchester United send out the reserves in Sunday's crucial relegation showdown.

Brown's side face champions United at the KC Stadium on Sunday knowing a victory would guarantee their survival.

James played with pain

PORTSMOUTH - ENGLAND goalkeeper David James has played through the pain barrier for 18 months because of a shoulder injury, Portsmouth manager Paul Hart revealed on Friday.

James, 38, waited until Portsmouth's Premier League survival was secured last weekend before finally opting to have an operation, even though he risked making the problem much worse in the meantime.

Lee admits Liverpool's agony

LIVERPOOL - LIVERPOOL assistant manager Sammy Lee admits his side's failure to pip Manchester United in the Premier League title race has plunged Anfield into despair.

United held off a strong challenge from Rafa Benitez's team to clinch the title with a game to spare last weekend, denying Liverpool their first English crown since 1990.
