BUENOS AIRES - ARGENTINA'S national coach Diego Maradona still isn't interested in calling up striker Gonzalo Higuain, even through he's Real Madrid's top scorer.

Maradona has repeatedly said he has plenty of attacking players and has regularly listed his preference for Lionel Messi, Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero - his son-in-law - Diego Milito and Lisandro Lopez.

 
Uefa's zero-tolerance policy

BUCHAREST - UEFA president Michel Platini on Tuesday called for a 'zero-tolerance' approach to racism in European football, on the first day of Uefa's two-day executive committee meeting here.

'The Uefa president proposed that strong and decisive action, in line with his 'zero-tolerance' approach, should be taken in accordance with law five of the game's rules, which permits the referee to suspend or abandon a match due to outside interference,' a Uefa statement read.

Ferrari to quit?

MILAN - FERRARI will quit Formula One at the end of season if the sport adopts a budget cap for 2010, the champions said on Tuesday after a board meeting.

'No F1 in 2010 if the rules do not change. Ferrari confirms its opposition to the new rules imposed by FIA and does not intend to register cars for the 2010 F1 world championship,' a statement said.

David Silva out for 2-3 weeks

MADRID - VALENCIA'S Spanish international midfielder David Silva will be out of action for two to three weeks with a thigh injury, the club said on Tuesday.
