BARCELONA (Spain) - CHAMPIONSHIP leader Jenson Button was fastest in qualifying for Formula One's Spanish Grand Prix.

The Brawn GP driver took his third pole of the season Saturday with a record Circuit de Catalunya track time of 1 minute, 20.527 seconds.

 
Pakistan served legal notice
LAHORE - PAKISTAN is mounting a legal challenge to the International Cricket Council's decision to move its World Cup matches over security fears, the nation's cricket governing body said Saturday.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said the decision to deprive it of the fixtures was legally flawed, and that it had served notice of the challenge through its lawyer to ICC president David Morgan.

Boonen suspended after test

BRUSSELS - FORMER world cycling champion Tom Boonen was suspended on Saturday by his Quick Step team after testing positive for cocaine for a second time.

The Belgian was reportedly tested on April 24 by Flanders regional government authorities, 12 days after he won the Paris-Roubaix classic for the third time.

Raul rejects City offer

MADRID (AP) - REAL Madrid captain Raul has rejected an offer to join Manchester City, saying he wouldn't leave the Spanish powerhouse 'in his wildest dreams.'

Raul's agent Gines Carvajal was reported as saying that he received an approach from City, widely acknowledged as the world's richest club following its purchase by Abu Dhabi United Group last September.
