LONDON - ARSENAL will head into their Champions League clash with bitter rivals Manchester United on the back of a 20 game unbeaten run after Cesc Fabregas ended Arsene Wenger's wait for a win over Middlesbrough by scoring twice in Sunday's 2-0 success here at the Emirates.

Fabregas's double, his first goals in nearly six months, was enough to maintain Arsenal's bid for third place in the Premier League and piled on more relegation fears for Middlesbrough.

 
Button wins Grand Prix

SAKHIR (Bahrain) - JENSON Button in a Brawn won the Bahrain Grand Prix here on Sunday to increase his lead at the top of the drivers' championship.

The Briton captured his third win of the season after Australia and Malaysia ahead of the Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel, winner in China last weekend, and pole sitter Jarno Trulli of Toyota.

Wanjiru wins marathon

LONDON - OLYMPIC champion Sammy Wanjiru won his first London Marathon title in a course record time on Sunday.

The 22-year-old Wanjiru won the 42.2-kilometre race in two hours, five minutes, 10 seconds in sunny and still conditions, providing a record seventh triumph for Kenyan runners.

Thongchai wins at Ballantine

JEJU (South Korea) - THAILAND'S Thongchai Jaidee won the Ballantine's Championship Sunday in a play-off with South Korea's Kang Sung-Hoon and Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano.
