MANCHESTER (England) - DARREN Fletcher has warned his Manchester United team-mates that they cannot afford to get complacent after extending their advantage over Premier League title rivals Liverpool.

United moved three points clear at the top of the table in midweek after a 2-0 win over Portsmouth and Saturday's visit of Tottenham gives Sir Alex Ferguson's side the opportunity to take another significant step towards a third successive English title.

 
Ochoa takes lead at Corona

MORELIA (Mexico) - DEFENDING champion Lorena Ochoa shot an 8-under 65 to take a one-stroke lead over South Korea's Na Yeon Choi after the first round of the Corona Championship on Thursday.

'It was a good day, there is really not much more to add if you look at the score. I'm very happy because I'm in control,' Ochoa said. 'It's very exciting to be in a position that I like, hopefully we can stay there the next three days because my goal is to win it.'

Hamilton eyes KERS boost

SAKHIR (Bahrain) - WORLD champion Lewis Hamilton believes his McLaren-Mercedes can give him some performance edge over his rivals this weekend in Bahrain thanks to its KERS package.

The 24-year-old Englishman, who has endured a controversial start to the season, is hoping that he can join the fight for a good points finish, or even a podium, in Sunday's race.

Bahrain victory for Brawn?

SAKHIR (Bahrain) - WORLD championship-leading Briton Jenson Button believes he and his Brawn GP team are on course to triumph again in the desert heat of this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix.

The 29-year-old Englishman won the season-opening races in Australia and Malaysia, but was beaten back to third last weekend in a rain-soaked Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai, where Sebastian Vettel won for Red Bull.
