Stars return for Six Nations

CARDIFF - WALES coach Warren Gatland has recalled several senior players into his starting side for Saturday's Six Nations title decider against Grand Slam chasers Ireland here at the Millennium Stadium.

Gatland, the former Ireland boss, was heavily criticised for making nine alterations to the team that was narrowly defeated by France ahead of last week's stuttering 20-15 defeat of Italy in Rome.

Roethlin out of marathon

ZURICH (Switzerland) - SWISS distance runner Viktor Roethlin will miss the London Marathon next month after lung problems forced him to take a total break from training.

Roethlin said on Tuesday he is also unlikely to defend the marathon bronze medal he won at the 2007 world championships in Osaka, Japan, when the next worlds are held in August in Berlin.
