TURIN (Italy) - JUVENTUS coach Claudio Ranieri likened David Trezeguet to a 'spoiled child' and dropped him from the team to play Bologna on Saturday after the striker complained about his substitution in the Champions League game against Chelsea.

Trezeguet criticized Ranieri's decision in an interview with L'Equipe on Thursday.

 
India cricket league in trouble

NEW DELHI - THE Indian Premier League suffered a fresh setback on Friday when the government refused to accept the revised schedule submitted by the organisers on security grounds, throwing the event into doubt.

The IPL's second season is scheduled to be held April 10 to May 24, however nationwide parliamentary elections take place April 16 to May 13 in five phases, meaning the two events clash.

Benzema pledges Lyon loyalty

LYON - FRANCE international striker Karim Benzema said on Friday he intended to stay loyal to Lyon and stay next season as he wants to 'progress' with the serial French champions.

'I am going to stay with Lyon, I have a lot of work still to do and many things to achieve. I feel good at Lyon, I am well looked after,' said Benzema, who has been tracked by a posse of top clubs, including Manchester United over the past year.

English win depends on fitness

LONDON - ENGLAND'S chances of beating France in the Six Nations on Sunday appear to be all about whether the team can keep all 15 players on the field.
