Becks to extend AC loan

MILAN - OFFICIALS are nearing agreement on a deal allowing David Beckham to extend his stay with AC Milan through the end of the Italian season, according to club chairman Adriano Galliani.

The former England captain joined Milan on a two-month loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy in January and was due to return to the Major League Soccer club next week. But Beckham wants to stay, and Galliani said the two sides are close to a deal that would keep him at Milan until the summer.

Honda close to sale of team

TOKYO - HONDA Motor is close to an agreement to sell its Formula One team in time for the new season later this month, a Japanese newspaper reported on Tuesday.
