NAPLES (Florida) - SCOTT Hoch and Kenny Perry notched their second straight 12-under 60 on Sunday to win the Merrill Lynch Shootout by four strokes.

Hoch and Perry finished the 2.9 million-dollar (S$4.3 million), 54-hole event at 31-under par, three shots shy of the all-time tournament record set by Fred Couples and Raymond Floyd in 1990.

 
Capello: I won't tame Rooney

LONDON - FABIO Capello insists he has no plans to subdue Wayne Rooney's aggressive streak after the Manchester United and England striker landed himself in hot water again for his petulant stamp on Aalborg's Kasper Risgard.

Rooney is the subject of a UEFA investigation for stamping his boot onto Risgard's chest during United's 2-2 Champions League draw against Aalborg at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
