LONDON - ARSENAL captain William Gallas has launched an astonishing attack on the club's bickering young guns.

Gallas, 31, claims he had to break up several dressing room bust-ups between Arsenal players, including a half-time row in the recent 4-4 draw against Tottenham.

SCARPERIA (Italy) - MOTOGP champion Valentino Rossi tested a Ferrari Formula One car Thursday on the Mugello track he has won the Italian Grand Prix on the past seven years.

Fans arrested in Germany

BERLIN - GERMAN police reported on Thursday they made a total of 30 arrests in the wake of England's 2-1 win here over Germany, with both sets of fans generally praised for their good behaviour.

The arrests were made between Tuesday evening and the end of Wednesday night's match at Berlin's Olympic Stadium.

Keane denies conduct charge

SUNDERLAND - SUNDERLAND manager Roy Keane denied an English Football Association charge of improper conduct on Thursday.

The charge relates to Keane's behaviour towards referee Martin Atkinson in Sunderland's 5-0 defeat at Chelsea when he was sent to the stands after confronting the official in the tunnel at half-time.
