TWO Jakarta blasts victims arrived at the National University Hospital on Friday night, and up to six more injured could be flown into Singapore for medical attention, said a spokesman for International SOS.

The health care company made arrangements for them to be flown here.

The first two victims - Indonesian Adrianto Machribie and American David Potter - arrived at NUH's Accident & Emergency department just before 8pm on Friday.

AFTER finding out that residents in the Bukit Merah area had a high rate of heart attacks, grassroot members there have decided to install defibrillators at the lift landings.

Residents will also be taught resuscitation procedures and how to use the machines - which jumpstart hearts that have stopped - to give victims a better chance of surviving in the critical few minutes before an ambulance arrives.

He was a 'spiritual advisor' to the child's father, who was also a temple medium.

They trusted him so much that they let him sleep in their flat on many occasions, during which time he would abuse the child.
