THE three Loh siblings returned from their holiday in England and Scotland on Wednesday afternoon, all set to start the new school term on Monday.

But they have since been told that they will have to wait until next Thursday to join their school mates. With Britain being flu-affected, they have each earned a week's leave of absence so they do not infect their school mates with the virus they may well be carrying.

 
Resale homes in demand

THE mini boom that started in the sale of new flats has now spread to the resale homes market, with transactions rocketing 71 per cent in the second quarter.

Sellers have quickly become attuned to the unexpected resurgence in demand and are jacking up asking prices, according to consultants Jones Lang LaSalle.

Tasty treats at Ion Orchard

SOME well-known Asian names are looking to inject life into the food scene here when they open at Ion Orchard in July.
