SMOKE haze from Indonesia could make an unwanted comeback this year as an El Nino weather phenomenon develops, bringing hotter and drier weather, Minister for the Environment & Water Resources Dr Yaacob Ibrahim said yesterday.

Though slight now, the haze could worsen in the coming months, and peak in September, deep into the dry season.

 
A home for their hobbies

IT IS a problem that many hobbyists face: space constraints for an evergrowing collection.

Civil servant Desmond Chua, 34, collects toy figurines such as 12-inch military figures, Transformers and Zoids.

To store his collection of more than 1,000 figurines, he converted one bedroom in his five-room HDB flat in Choa Chu Kang into storage space. He put in floor-to-ceiling glass shelves to display the figurines.
